MDCLCA PRESENTS
2020 Annual Conference
Friday, March 20 | UMBC
Learning (Centers) Now For the Future

cANCELLED
MDCLCA 2020 has been cancelled.
Due to the recent state of emergency in Maryland, our venue at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, has asked MDCLCA to cancel our upcoming conference. After discussing the possible health, financial, and social impact of COVID-19 on our members, the Executive Board has decided that MDCLCA will not be holding our annual conference on March 20th, 2020.
Given that registration for the MDCLCA Conference traditionally includes membership in the organization, we have decided to continue to accept registration for membership-only in MDCLCA. For those of you who have already registered for the conference but not paid, we will modify invoices to reflect the membership dues only ($25 for professionals and $15 for students). For those of you who have already registered and paid, we will be refunding the conference portion of the fee ($35 for professionals and $30 for students). We will retain the membership dues portion of the fee ($25 for professionals and $15 for students) in order to fund continued membership activities. Please bear with us as we send refunds to everyone over the next couple of weeks.
In order to continue to provide you with the valuable learning and professional networking opportunities MDCLCA is known for, we are currently working with presenters to offer alternative methods for presenting their content to the membership. Please stay tuned as those details and logistics are determined.
MDCLCA Executive Board elections will continue as usual. The nomination period is still open until March 16. Voting will commence on March 20th as planned and continue through March 30th. Details about how to participate in voting will be coming shortly.
Please stay safe and healthy!

Parking
The conference takes place in the Performing Arts & Humanities Building (small red circle).
Attendees should plan to park in Lot 22 (large purple circle), which is adjacent to the traffic circle entrance on Hilltop Road. Campus Safety will be monitoring parking elsewhere, so please park in Lot 22 to avoid being ticketed.
Attendees who require ADA accessible parking should park in Lot 9 (small purple circle). If you need accessible parking, you must indicate this during registration in order to be issued a temporary code. MDCLCA covers the cost of this code, so please do not request accessible parking unless you need it.
HOTELS & DINING
There are many hotels within the conference area. UMBC has a list of hotels that offer a discounted visitor rate here.
There are many restaurants in the nearby towns of Arbutus and Catonsville. UMBC has some suggestions here.
